CurifyLabs raises €11M to scale personalized drug production, expand in US
Finnish healthtech company CurifyLabs has raised approximately €11 million ($12 million) in a growth equity round co-led by Sandwater and HealthCap, with participation from Tesi and existing investors, including Lifeline Ventures.
CurifyLabs automates the production of personalized medicines in pharmacies, combining 3D printing, software, and pharmaceutical excipient bases into one integrated system. Its solution is already in use across multiple US states and in Europe, producing thousands of tailored doses daily.
The company plans to expand operations, particularly in the US, while strengthening its supply chain, enhancing customer support, and accelerating product development. Germany, where much of the global compounding volume sits, is another expansion target.
The raise extends a rapid funding ramp. CurifyLabs secured €6.7 million in May 2025 plus EU and national deep-tech support, and has accumulated roughly €17.6 million in prior backing from investors such as Lifeline Ventures, the Pharmacy Pension Fund, and Business Finland.
The company is targeting a global compounding market of about €11–15 billion, growing near 5.5% annually. In 2025, it also led RoboPharma, a €5.6 million EU4Health project to build an AI- and robotics-driven decentralized pharmaceutical production platform.
For Tesi, the state-owned investor, this marks its first investment in CurifyLabs. "The company's growth in the U.S. demonstrates that Finnish health technology can compete and succeed globally," said Joni Karsikas, investment director at Tesi.
An €11 million round is significant but not outsized; what matters is that it funds industrialization and market expansion of an already deployed platform. It reflects a broader trend of capital concentrating on automation and AI for on-demand, personalized medicines, rather than pure digital health.
