KDB Tifa Finance secures US$26.1M loan from Bank KEB Hana

What's the deal? Indonesia's PT KDB Tifa Finance has signed a US$26.1M bank loan facility from PT Bank KEB Hana Indonesia. The debt deal, signed on July 3, 2026, funds working capital and strengthens liquidity to expand the company's lending capacity.

The details: The facility is a Working Capital Installment (WCI) uncommitted credit agreement drawn from a third party — not an affiliated transaction. Because it equals 32.83% of the company's equity, it qualifies as a material transaction under Otoritas Jasa Keuangan rules.

Why it matters: The loan carries no dilution risk for shareholders, as it is not a share issuance. It leaves KDB Tifa's capital structure intact, with Korea Development BankDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → holding a 77.5% controlling stake.

By the numbers: KDB Tifa posted net profit of US$4.32M in 2025, up from US$4.24M in 2024. Total assets stood at US$132.9M at year-end, against equity of US$79.4M and liabilities of US$53.6M before the new loan.

Why now? The raise comes as KDB Tifa leans steadily on bank facilities to fund growth. In December 2025 it extended a US$19.5M credit line from Bank Mizuho Indonesia through 2026 — making the KEB Hana deal a quick follow-on to that liquidity move.

The signal: The deal fits a broader pattern of Indonesian finance companies tapping bank funding to support lending. The same lender backed peer Buana Finance with a US$13M term loan in February 2024, underscoring how routine — rather than transformational — such balance-sheet moves have become in the sector.
