The deal builds on TextureJet's 2025 funding round. The Mayor of the East Midlands officially opened the company's new headquarters in Ripley, Derbyshire, on June 29.
Why now? TextureJet says strong commercial traction and rising customer demand drove the raise.
The company recently relocated to larger premises in Ripley, adding manufacturing capacity, demonstration facilities, and space for new hires and product development.
The round forms part of the Midlands Forging Ahead strategy. Mayor Claire Ward noted the region invested £2 million into Midlands Mindforge to help local businesses turn innovation into jobs and growth.
The signal: The round leans heavily on regional public-private backing — from Midlands Mindforge, an investment fund seeded with £2 million from the Mayor of the East Midlands, to the British Business Bank's MEIF 1 fund and the University of Nottingham — underlining a deliberate strategy to anchor advanced manufacturing capability in the Midlands. With early-stage TextureJet's software-defined machining drawing interest from large corporations globally, the deal positions the region as a deeptech exporter rather than just an innovation source.
