Rentennials runs a digital platform that connects car owners with people who need to rent a vehicle, operating in Argentina, Peru, and the United States. The model lets owners earn extra income from cars that would otherwise sit parked most of the day, racking up fixed costs without any return.
Why now? Founder and CEO Gerardo Germano said part of the funds will go towards insurance-linked products to cut operational friction for users. The company is also in talks with a US angel investor in a deal that could complete around 75% of the current round, and has advanced into conversations for a commercial partnership with travel giant Despegar alongside Endeavor — though as one of four finalists picked from more than 100 startups, that tie-up is not yet sealed.
The signal: Banco BIND's backing through Natan VC marks a corporate bank betting on peer-to-peer mobility, a model still at an early stage in Latin America. For Rentennials, layering insurance-linked products onto its marketplace could be the differentiator that helps it scale across Argentina, Peru, and the United States.
