IKIN Global raises $2M Pre-Series A2 for smart logistics locks

Founded in 2012 by Nibu Alias, IKIN — a brand of SectorQube Technolabs — builds smart locks and bolt seals for logistics firms. Its products offer real-time tamper detection, geo-fencing, mobile access control, and audit trails to secure cargo.

Customers include Amazon, Swiggy, Flipkart, Zepto, Blue Dart, and Syngenta.

Why now? IKIN grew its deployment from 2,500 to 10,000 trucks over the past year, logging more than 5 million lock and unlock cycles.

It has also run pilots with customers in the US, UAE, and UK, setting up an overseas push.

The fresh capital will fund expansion across the US, Europe, and West Asia, plus product development, hiring, and scaling manufacturing.

Alongside the raise, IKIN launched two products: iBS Pro, a reusable smart bolt seal, and Smart GPS Truck Lock (iTSS), a fixed lock with AI-based intrusion detection.

What could go wrong? Going global means clearing market-specific certifications in each region — a slow, costly process.

Alias plans to introduce edge-computing-enabled locks and break into sectors such as oil and gas, defence logistics, cold chain, mining, and ocean freight over the next 12 to 18 months.

That is an ambitious spread for a startup with $2 million in fresh funding.

The signal: Quadrupling its truck deployment in a year before securing a Pre-Series A2 round suggests demand-led growth rather than capital-led expansion — a useful position for an early-stage hardware startup eyeing overseas markets. With co-leads spanning Indian fund Unicorn India Ventures and US-based Callapina Capital, the cap table itself mirrors the cross-border push IKIN is betting on.
