NeuralTrust raises $20M Series A to secure enterprise AI

Try Dealroom →, with Spanish investors Seaya and KiboDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → also participating. The cybersecurity startup, founded by Joan Vendrell, builds tools that protect the AI systems and autonomous agents companies deploy across their operations.
NeuralTrust offers four products: TrustTest (simulated attacks to stress-test AI robustness), TrustLens (an inventory of all AI models running inside a company — including ones it may not know about), TrustGate (a monitoring funnel that tracks what AI agents do), and TrustGuard (a firewall built for AI).
Why now? The threat landscape has shifted fast. In 2025, AI interactions were mostly question-and-answer exchanges with large language models. In 2026, AI agents connect to email, accounting systems, HR platforms, and communication tools like Slack and Teams — exponentially increasing the attack surface.
"It's not the same thing for an LLM to give you a wrong answer as it is for an agent to access your email or accidentally leak confidential data," Vendrell told Business Insider España.
That escalating risk is driving demand. NeuralTrust doubled its 2025 annual recurring revenue in just the first quarter of 2026. It now serves around 30 clients with a team of 31 people, and its average contract size is growing.
What could go wrong? Expanding into northern Europe is expensive and culturally complex. NeuralTrust plans to open an office in Munich to complement its existing London presence. Vendrell argues that selling across Europe requires local teams — "selling in Germany with Germans" — and that US or Israeli startups often underestimate the EU's linguistic and cultural fragmentation. But building out multiple offices while still a relatively small team will test the company's resources.
The AI security market is also heating up. NeuralTrust has outperformed IBMDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → in several benchmarks, but competition from well-funded incumbents and other startups will only intensify as agentic AI adoption accelerates.
The round also adds to a strong start for Spain's tech ecosystem in 2026, following large raises by Factorial and Perk. A German-led investment in a Spanish startup signals that capital is increasingly willing to flow south when the product fits the moment.
The signal: NeuralTrust is still classified as an early-stage company on Dealroom, yet it has already doubled its 2025 ARR in a single quarter — a growth rate that underscores how quickly demand for AI-agent security is materialising. The lead investment from Alstin Capital, a German fund backing a Barcelona-born startup, fits a broader pattern of intra-European capital flows loosening up as southern Europe's tech ecosystems mature alongside those of established hubs like London and Berlin.
