Limitless Labs raises $20M Series A for agentic physical AI in CNC manufacturing

Try Dealroom →, formerly LimitlessCNC, has raised a $20M Series A co-led by Dell Technologies Capital and Square Peg Capital, with participation from Grove VenturesDealroom has a profile for this one. The Israeli startup builds what it calls the world's first agentic physical AI platform for computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) in mechanical manufacturing.
At the core is a foundation model trained not on text but on the physics of metal cutting, CAD geometry, and the operational constraints of real machines. The model powers a CAM Agent that works inside platforms like Mastercam, NX, and Creo — identifying features, recommending tools, sequencing operations, and generating toolpaths to produce shop-floor-ready programmes.
The company was co-founded by David Priev (chief executive officer), Shahaf Finder (chief scientist), and Assaf Peleg (chief technology officer).
Why now? Manufacturing faces a deepening talent crisis. Nearly a quarter of the US manufacturing workforce is 55 or older, 97% of manufacturers cite knowledge retention as their top concern, and 409,000 positions sit unfilled — a gap projected to reach 1.9 million by 2033.
Programming critical aerospace, defence, medical, and industrial parts still depends on manual work, tribal knowledge, and years of experience. Limitless Labs aims to capture and standardise that expertise so it can scale across new parts and new engineers.
What could go wrong? The platform must prove it can generalise across wildly different machining environments, materials, and tolerances. Manufacturing shops are notoriously conservative adopters — trusting AI-generated toolpaths with expensive materials and tight margins requires deep validation. Compliance adds another layer: the platform is ITAR-compliant and deployable on AWS GovCloud, but any security lapse in defence or aerospace contexts could be fatal to the business.
The signal: Dell Technologies Capital's co-lead here underscores a strategic corporate bet: a hardware giant that supplies factory infrastructure is now backing the AI layer that sits on top of it. Try Dealroom → and Cadillac F1, Limitless Labs is past the proof-of-concept stage — a rarity for industrial AI startups at Series A — positioning it to set the standard before larger automation incumbents can catch up.
