Global Settlement Network raises $11M pre-seed at $100M+ valuation
What's the deal? Global Settlement Network (GSX), a Miami-based infrastructure company building cross-border settlement rails for digital assets, has closed an $11M pre-seed round at a valuation exceeding $100M. Alongside the equity raise, it activated $125M in committed settlement liquidity to power live operations.
Prevail Venture Capital Fund I LP led the oversubscribed round, with participation from Outliers VC, Edgecase Capital, an a16z scout fund, Ubuntu Group, and Liquidus Capital. Ubuntu Group also anchored the liquidity side with a $100M allocation into a gold-backed stablecoin programme routed through Global Settlement Markets, GSX's market-making subsidiary.
Why now? Cross-border settlement — the plumbing that moves money between countries — remains slow, expensive, and opaque. GSX is betting that tokenised assets, regulated digital currencies, and stablecoin infrastructure can modernise these rails for banks, governments, and institutional players.
The company plans to use the capital to move from infrastructure development into live settlement operations across high-value international trade corridors.
What could go wrong? A $100M+ valuation at the pre-seed stage is extraordinarily rich and sets a high bar for execution. GSX must prove it can attract regulated institutions to a novel settlement layer — no small feat in an industry where incumbents like SWIFT still dominate.
The $125M in liquidity is committed, not deployed. Converting commitments into actual transaction volume across multiple corridors will test both the technology and the commercial model. Gold-backed stablecoins, meanwhile, add commodity-price risk and regulatory complexity.
The signal: A $100M+ pre-seed valuation is a striking marker of how aggressively investors are pricing crypto-native infrastructure that targets institutional and sovereign clients rather than retail speculation. With stablecoin transaction volumes already rivalling traditional card networks, the race to build regulated settlement plumbing is attracting capital at terms once reserved for growth-stage companies — raising the stakes for GSX to convert bold commitments into live corridor volume.
