The deal brings CJ Hole's network to 11 offices and marks its seventh acquisition.

Anne James, an independent agency in Longwell Green, will rebrand under CJ Hole. Existing staff will stay on, and the business will continue operating from its Bath Road office.

CJ Hole is part of The Property Franchise Group. The acquisition strengthens its footprint across East Bristol, connecting its Kingswood and Lyde Green branches and extending reach into surrounding areas including Hanham, Warmley, and Keynsham.

Why now? CJ Hole has been on a steady acquisition spree, using the backing of The Property Franchise Group to consolidate its presence in Bristol. Longwell Green fills a geographic gap between two existing offices, making it a strategic pick.

"This acquisition reflects our continued investment across Bristol and our belief in combining strong local knowledge with the benefits of a wider network," said Chris Hill, managing director of CJ Hole.

The signal: With seven acquisitions now under its belt, CJ Hole's consolidation strategy exemplifies how mature, franchise-backed property brands are steadily absorbing early-growth independents to build regional density. The Property Franchise Group's infrastructure gives CJ Hole a repeatable playbook — retain local teams, rebrand, and plug gaps between existing offices — suggesting further bolt-on deals across underserved Bristol postcodes are likely.
