Aippy raises tens of millions at $250M valuation for AI game creation platform

What's the deal? AippyDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an AI-powered game creation and social platform developed by NADA AI, has closed its first funding round of tens of millions of dollars at a $250M post-money valuation. Hong Kong–based Glowill Capital led the round. The funds will go toward hiring top talent and scaling user growth in Western markets.

Aippy lets users describe a game idea in plain language, and its AI generates a playable game within minutes. Other users can browse these creations like a short-video feed, or "remix" existing games by adding their own twists and republishing them.

Founded in 2025, Aippy was incubated by Hong Kong–listed social company Chitcheng Technology. Its founder and chief executive, Evan Ye, co-founded Chitcheng and served as its chief technology officer for over a decade, building deep expertise in overseas social and gaming products. The team has roughly 30 people.

Why now? Aippy originally started as an AI coding tool when the "vibe coding" trend emerged in early 2025. The team quickly pivoted, concluding that pure AI tools face a low ceiling, intense competition from big tech, and weak user retention. A community-driven approach — where AI lowers the creation barrier and social mechanics drive engagement — offered a far larger opportunity.

The pivot has paid off fast. Aippy has surpassed 3 million downloads and nearly 2 million monthly active users globally. It holds a 4.8-star rating on the US App Store. The platform hosts over 2 million user-generated games, with daily new creations up 10x since the start of 2026. User engagement is climbing too: daily session time rose 25%, and nearly 50% of daily active users interact with content.

What could go wrong? Aippy is deliberately focused on Western markets, betting that European and American users are more receptive to AI-native content, have stronger UGC culture, and are more willing to pay for digital content. That focus sharpens execution but also limits the addressable user base in the near term — and leaves the company exposed if larger incumbents like Roblox or Epic GamesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → integrate similar AI creation tools.

Quality control is another risk. With 2 million user-generated games already on the platform, maintaining content standards and community health at scale is no small feat.

The signal: A $250 million valuation on a first round for a company founded only months ago underscores how aggressively investors are pricing the convergence of generative AI and UGC platforms — a bet that the next Roblox-scale opportunity will be AI-native rather than retrofitted. Aippy's rapid pivot from tool to community mirrors a pattern seen across the AI landscape: pure utility struggles with retention, while social loops compound it. The key test now is whether AI-generated games can sustain the depth of engagement that keeps users — and their wallets — coming back.
