Fundraise

Kinnevik Leads $220m Round in Digital Health Group Oviva

Oviva, a Swiss digital health provider focused on chronic disease management, has raised $220 million in a Series D funding round, one of the largest in European digital health to date.

The round was led by investment firm Kinnevik, which contributed $100 million, with participation from existing and new investors. The raise will support Oviva’s growth across Europe and strengthen its technology platform.

Founded to help people manage chronic conditions such as diabetes and obesity through digital interventions, Oviva combines its clinical programmes with AI-enabled tools that personalise care and improve patient engagement.

Its platform connects users with qualified health coaches and clinicians, using data and machine learning to tailor recommendations and monitor progress.

The company has emphasised building evidence of impact on health outcomes and cost savings for healthcare systems, a focus that has helped attract both institutional and strategic investors.

The Series D round comes amid increasing interest in digital models of chronic care, driven by rising prevalence of long-term conditions and pressure on traditional healthcare systems.

Backers of Oviva view its combination of clinical services and technology as a response to these challenges, although the space remains competitive and subject to regulatory and reimbursement complexity across different European markets.
