Notion Capital Unveils $130M Growth Fund to Bridge Europe’s Scaling Gap

In September 2025, Notion Capital announced the closing of a $130 million growth fund, dubbed Notion Opportunities III, marking a strategic expansion beyond its core early-stage remit. The new fund is designed to provide follow-on capital to its strongest portfolio companies and support European software and fintech scaleups.

Notion, headquartered in London, has long been a key backer of European cloud and enterprise software ventures through its flagship funds. With its fifth fund already closed at €300 million, Notion now turns greater attention to mitigating the region’s “follow-on funding gap”, where startups often struggle to find growth capital after initial stages.

The firm has secured support from both private and public sources. Among the limited partners is British Business Bank, which committed €20 million to the new vehicle, reinforcing public-sector interest in strengthening domestic growth-stage funding. Notion maintains its core strategy of investing early but now aims to offer liquidity and capital continuity to winners in its own ecosystem.

Notion’s track record includes investing in more than 100 European SaaS and cloud companies, with successes such as GoCardless, Mews, Paddle, Unbabel, and YuLife. Its platform model emphasises hands-on support—ranging from go-to-market guidance to talent and pricing assistance—asserting that capital alone is not enough in Europe’s competitive software market.
