Streetbees Collapses Into Administration Amid Rescue Efforts
Streetbees, the London-based consumer insights platform once backed by Atomico and Lakestar, has entered administration after months of failed attempts to secure a buyer. Founded in 2015, the startup had raised around $56 million in funding, including a $40 million Series B in 2020 that valued the business at $200 million.
In August 2025, the company filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators—a move that offered temporary protection from creditors while talks with potential investors continued.
The collapse marks a sharp decline for a business that once employed more than 300 people. Headcount had already fallen to 139 by July 2025, and all remaining staff have now been made redundant.
Streetbees built its reputation on “conversational research,” combining AI analysis with user-generated stories to provide consumer insights. The platform attracted global brands including UnileverDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, HeinekenDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, L’Oréal, and Intel, but the model ultimately proved unsustainable in the face of funding pressures and shifting market conditions.
