SS&C Expands Global Footprint with Calastone Buy at $1.03B Valuation
SS&C Technologies Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSNC), a major global provider of software solutions for the financial and healthcare sectors, has reached a definitive agreement to acquire Calastone from The Carlyle Group for approximately £766 million (≈ US $1.03 billion). Calastone operates the world’s largest global funds network, connecting over 4,500 financial institutions across 57 markets and processing more than £250 billion in investment value monthly .
The deal is expected to close in Q4 2025 , pending regulatory approvals, and will be financed through a combination of cash on hand and debt . SS&C anticipates the acquisition will be accretive within 12 months .
Calastone’s global presence spans key financial hubs—including London, Luxembourg, Hong Kong, Taipei, Singapore, New York, and Sydney—with over 250 employees who will join SS&C’s Global Investor & Distribution Solutions division under General Manager Nick Wright.
By bringing Calastone’s blockchain-enabled transaction network and digital distribution infrastructure together with SS&C’s strength in fund administration, transfer agency, AI, and intelligent automation , the combined platform will deliver a real-time operating environment designed to reduce complexity, enhance efficiency, and minimize operational risk across the global fund ecosystem
