The company
Valdivia Tech is building AI agents that take on electrical power system engineering work. Its main agent, 'Don Nelson', runs power-flow and short-circuit studies in DIgSILENT PowerFactory and produces full technical reports from a request made in Microsoft Teams, while a second agent, 'EDITH', manages the on-premise GPU infrastructure the models run on.
Power system work is heavy on regulatory paperwork, document review and repeatable studies, and specialised engineers are the bottleneck. The company says its agents already support studies submitted to Chile's National Electrical Coordinator (CEN), so the output is being tested against a real regulator rather than a demo.
The company was founded in 2026 in Santiago by Cristian Valdivia as an AI laboratory focused on the electric power sector. It works on a Forward Deployed Engineer model, embedding with clients to build agents around their actual processes.
Valdivia studied at Federico Santa María Technical University and has previously founded iusTomas, an AI legaltech company, and A0x, with earlier work spanning web3, legaltech and IoT. That is a track record of taking products from prototype to production, though the team beyond the founder is not disclosed.
