Roma is building an AI 'operator' that turns voice or text notes into executed tasks — not just a to-do list, but a tool that drafts email replies, schedules meetings around your availability, and files project tickets by plugging into Gmail, Google Calendar, Dropbox, Notion and Linear.
The productivity stack has splintered across a dozen apps, and users are ready for AI that acts inside that ecosystem rather than adding yet another inbox to check. Roma's bet is that context-aware execution, with the user able to see and steer the output, beats another passive assistant.
Founded in 2026 by Tobias Eichenwald, Cody Osborne and Jan Senderek, Roma is part of Y Combinator's Fall 2026 batch and starts from a simple premise: work should begin before you manually organise it.
CEO Tobias Eichenwald previously founded Loom (YC W12), later acquired by Dropbox, and co-founder Cody Osborne brings brand and creative direction experience including time at Dropbox — a team that has built and shipped consumer-grade software before.
