InspiredE builds engineering software for switchgear planning, centred on two tools — Configurator and MatClass DataManagement — that combine plant configuration and product data maintenance. The Configurator now handles integrated heat-dissipation calculation and single-line diagrams, with digital red-and-greenlining that records changes directly inside engineering plans.

The company has moved from file-based to cloud-based licensing — no admin rights for updates, plus flexible global licence management — and says its fresh independence is meant to let it adapt faster to AI and shifting regulatory requirements.

The software has deep roots: originally created at Moeller before 2007 and continuously developed under AmpereSoft GmbH. InspiredE launched as a brand under the AmpereSoft umbrella in 2025 before restructuring into a standalone GmbH in 2026.

Stefan Mülhens leads as Managing Director of the newly formed company, which carries forward nearly two decades of switchgear engineering software heritage rather than starting from a blank sheet.
