Origami Logic

Origami Logic, established in 2012, operated as a marketing analytics company before its acquisition by Intuit on May 28, 2019. The company was founded by a trio of seasoned entrepreneurs: Opher Kahane (CEO), Ofer Shaked (CTO), and Alon Amit (VP of Product). Kahane was the former CEO of Kagoor Networks, which was acquired by Juniper Networks, and Shaked had previously co-founded FareChase, acquired by Yahoo. Amit brought experience from product roles at Google and Facebook and holds a Ph.D. in mathematics.

The firm provided a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform designed to help marketing teams measure performance. It did this by unifying and analyzing large volumes of marketing data from a wide array of online and offline channels, including social, search, email, and web. The technology was created to enable non-technical marketers to search and organize this data in real-time, offering insights into what campaigns were effective and where to optimize efforts. The platform featured a 'Marketing Graph' that allowed users to organize assets and evaluate performance with customizable metrics. Origami Logic served major global brands such as Procter & Gamble, HP, Intel, Kellogg's, and Visa.

The company's business model was based on selling its platform to large enterprises to help them improve their marketing return on investment. Prior to its acquisition, Origami Logic had successfully raised significant venture capital, with its final Series C round in January 2018 bringing its total funding to approximately $64.5 million from investors including Accel Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Viola Ventures. Intuit acquired Origami Logic primarily for its underlying data infrastructure technology and expert data science team to enhance its own AI-driven platform capabilities, rather than for its marketing-specific applications. The acquisition was aimed at accelerating Intuit's ability to process vast amounts of customer data to deliver personalized insights across its suite of financial products.
