About MarketShare
MarketShare was an American marketing analytics company founded in 2005 by Jon Vein and Wes Nichols and based in Westwood, Los Angeles. Its cloud-based software used statistical methods, principally regression analysis, to measure the relationship between marketing spend across television, online display, events and social media and sales performance, helping clients such as MasterCard, Turner Broadcasting and Intel quantify the return on their advertising investment. The company grew rapidly, reporting revenue of around $57 million in the twelve months to September 2015 and raising more than $84 million in venture funding. In November 2015 MarketShare was acquired by Neustar for $450 million; its founders remained with the combined business for several years.
