Hadean is a London-based deep-tech company founded in 2015 that specializes in distributed, spatial, and scalable computing for Web3 and the metaverse. The company provides an infrastructure platform and tools for building large-scale, interoperable, and secure synthetic environments. These environments are used for AI-powered digital wargaming, command and control, and training simulations, as well as enterprise digital twins.

The company was founded by Rashid Mansoor and Alec Mocatta. Craig Beddis joined as CEO and co-founder in early 2017, leading the company's vision and strategic direction. Mansoor, who holds a PhD in Topology, Chaos and Complex Systems, previously founded the data intelligence startup Adbrain. Beddis brought over 25 years of experience in building and scaling technology businesses. Initially focused on AI gaming, the company pivoted towards defense and resilience technology.

Hadean's core offering is a distributed cloud platform that enables the creation of large-scale, real-time applications. Its technology treats entire cloud data centers as a single supercomputer, allowing developers to scale their code for applications requiring vast computing power. This infrastructure powers synthetic environments that bridge physical and virtual worlds for better situational awareness and decision-making. Key products include 'populAI' for wargaming simulations with realistic human behaviors and 'dominAI' for Command & Control, which integrates diverse data sources into a single, actionable format. Hadean has demonstrated its capability by powering a 14,000-player demo with CCP Games, the makers of EVE Online.

The company operates on a Metaverse-as-a-Service model, providing tools for creators to build and monetize experiences at scale. Its clients span government, enterprise, and entertainment sectors. Notable customers and partners include the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD), BAE Systems, Deloitte, Microsoft, Epic Games, Sony, and Palantir. In November 2024, Hadean signed a £20 million agreement with the UK MoD to provide its digital wargaming and command platforms. The company has also secured a $30 million Series A funding round led by Molten Ventures, with participation from Epic Games and In-Q-Tel, to expand its metaverse capabilities. To date, Hadean has raised a total of over $65 million.
