Key milestones include opening a greenhouse on the rooftop of a Whole Foods Market in 2013, expanding to the Midwest in 2015, and launching a line of fresh food products like pesto and salad dressings in 2017 and 2018. The company has secured substantial funding to fuel its growth, raising a total of $440 million over several rounds, including a $310 million Series E round in 2022. In recognition of its commitment to social and environmental performance, Gotham Greens became a Certified B Corporation.
