About Firestorm
Firestorm Labs is a San Diego defense manufacturing company founded in 2022 by CEO Dan Magy, CTO Ian Muceus and Chad McCoy that builds xCell—containerized, expeditionary microfactories that 3D-print modular unmanned aerial systems near the point of need. xCell uses industrial HP 3D printers under a multi-year exclusive for mobile deployment and can produce mission-configurable drones for ISR, electronic warfare or kinetic use for U.S. DoD commands, with units deployed with AFRL and AFSOC and a U.S. Air Force IDIQ with a $100 million ceiling. After a Lockheed Martin Ventures–led seed and a $47 million Series A in 2025, in April 2026 Firestorm raised an $82 million Series B led by Washington Harbour Partners with NEA, Ondas, In-Q-Tel, Lockheed Martin, Booz Allen Ventures, Geodesic, Motley Fool Ventures and others, bringing total funding to $153 million to scale field manufacturing.
