FINN is a car subscription platform founded in 2019 in Munich, Germany, by Max-Josef Meier, Maximilian Wühr, Nikolai Schröder, Andreas Stryz, Max Beyer, and Hans-Peter Ringer. The company emerged from the founders' vision to simplify the car ownership experience, inspired by co-founder Maximilian Wühr's frustrating experience buying a car in the U.S. and Max-Josef Meier's desire to build a large-scale e-commerce venture. FINN's leadership includes former Stylight co-founder Max-Josef Meier and Maximilian Wühr, who took over as CEO after Meier stepped down in May 2023.

The company provides a flexible alternative to traditional car ownership and leasing through an all-inclusive monthly subscription model. This service bundles insurance, financing, registration, taxes, and maintenance into a single fixed payment, with only fuel or charging costs remaining for the customer. FINN operates as an independent platform offering vehicles from over 30 brands, which customers can order online in minutes and have delivered to their doorstep. The business model targets both private individuals and B2B clients, with the latter accounting for half of the company's Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR).

Since its launch, FINN has experienced significant growth, reaching over 25,000 active subscriptions and €160 million in ARR. The company expanded its operations from Germany to the East Coast of the United States in 2022. FINN has secured substantial funding, including a €100 million Series C round in January 2024, which valued the company at over $600 million. This funding is intended to accelerate the growth of its electric vehicle fleet, with a goal to increase the share of low-emission vehicles from 40% to over 80% by 2028. A core part of FINN's mission is sustainability; the company offsets the carbon footprint of every vehicle by supporting certified climate protection projects in partnership with organizations like South Pole.
