ENOVATE Motors, formally known as Zhejiang Dianka Automobile Technology Co. Ltd., is a manufacturer of electric vehicles headquartered in Shanghai, China. The company was established in 2015 by founder and CEO Hailiang Zhang. Initially launched under the brand name Dearcc in 2017 with the EV10 city car, the company underwent a strategic rebranding to ENOVATE Motors in November 2018. This shift redirected the company's focus from inexpensive city cars to more technologically advanced and premium electric SUVs. The firm has successfully raised approximately $1.67 billion over two funding rounds, with a notable Series B round in October 2020 securing $744 million. Investors include Shanghai Electric Group, Dice Investment, and Nanning Industrial Investment Group, among others.

The company's business is centered on the B2C market, specifically within the Auto Tech and Energy Tech sectors, developing and selling electric vehicles directly to consumers. ENOVATE's strategy includes establishing a comprehensive sales and service network, with plans announced in 2020 to open over 200 stores by 2025 and to partner with service providers like State Grid for a robust charging infrastructure. A significant milestone was the December 2022 agreement with Saudi Arabian company Sumou Holding to build a joint venture factory and R&D center in Saudi Arabia, aiming for an annual production capacity of 100,000 units. However, the company faced significant financial difficulties, leading to a production halt and asset freeze in early 2024.

ENOVATE's flagship product is the ME7, a midsize electric crossover SUV first unveiled at the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show and launched in September 2020. The ME7 is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor from Bosch, producing 160 kW (218 PS) of power. It was offered in two versions, with NEDC ranges of 410 km and 530 km. A key feature of the ME7 is its intelligent cockpit, which includes a five-screen display setup, facial recognition for personalized settings, and a Level 2.5 autonomous pilot system that supports adaptive cruise control and automatic parking. The vehicle's design, led by former Porsche designer Hakan Saracoglu, emphasizes a sporty aesthetic with a low drag coefficient of 0.28Cd. Following the ME7, ENOVATE launched the ME5, a smaller, range-extended SUV, in 2021.
