In July 2024, Almar Water Solutions, part of Jameel Environmental Services, acquired a 70% stake in Aqualyng, a strategic move to expand its presence in the Asia-Pacific market and enhance its global service capabilities. Following the acquisition, Aqualyng's Australian arm began operating as Almar Water Solutions Australia in July 2025. Bernt Østhus, a Norwegian lawyer and private equity investor, served as the Chairman of Aqualyng Holding AS from 2009 to 2012. His professional background includes co-founding the private equity fund Longship and managing investments across various sectors through Staur Holding AS.

The company's business model is centered around providing end-to-end water management services, including Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) and Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) projects.
