Context.dev launches a people search API for AI agents, claiming 1 billion profiles
Four days after announcing a $9M raise led by General Catalyst, Context.dev founder and CEO Yahia Bakour launched a people search API on 23 October, pitched as '1 billion people, one API' for agents looking for decision makers to sell to, founders to build with or engineers to hire. Per the docs, developers describe the people they want in natural language (e.g. 'VPs of sales at solar companies in California'), optionally filter by country and years of experience, and get up to 10 profiles per request with role, employer, location, skills and schools, at 10 credits per page. It adds to a people-enrichment API Context.dev introduced in August. The launch post drew about 225,000 views and 2,700 bookmarks.
