SemiAnalysis: Anthropic subscriptions offer 5x+ more value than OpenAI

SemiAnalysis limit-tested AI subscription plans from Anthropic, OpenAI, Meta, SpaceXAI, MiniMax, Moonshot, Z.ai, Cursor and Cognition, arguing a plan’s value depends on the model and workload because credit costs diverge from API prices. It estimates subscriptions are about 10% of Anthropic’s revenue but can take over 40% of its inference compute. Dylan Patel called the value gap between the leading labs and others “insane.”
