Kyang Yung, former partner at Inkef, has launched Coalition Capital, a new venture capital fund focusing on European tech companies in AI, FinTech, EdTech, and Future of Work. Yung, along with Sebastiaan Vaessen and Corne Jansen, aims to make the greatest impact in early-stage investments, typically from Seed to Series A.
Coalition Capital targets "real world problems in trillion dollar markets," including AI infrastructure, future of commerce, future of finance, and the future of work. The fund has already invested in companies like Sikoia, Hawk AI, MyEdSpace, and Monite.
Yung believes the Dutch startup ecosystem lags behind the rest of Europe due to a less intense work ethic, but sees promising changes. He notes a trend of family offices entering venture capital and aims to share knowledge with them.
Coalition Capital distinguishes itself through its team's diverse experience and network of advisors. Yung advises founders to prioritize valuable investors over high valuations.
The fund's approach combines addressing market needs with a passion for supporting entrepreneurs, aiming to build and scale companies effectively by aligning with the right partners.
