Be.EV Secures £55 Million Debt for EV Fast Charging Network Expansion
- Be.EV, a UK electric vehicle (EV) charging network, has secured £55 million in debt funding from NatWest and Germany's KfW IPEX-Bank.
- Founded in Greater Manchester in 2019, Be.EV manages over 700 charging points across the UK, with plans to add 300 more by the end of 2024.
- This funding will support the expansion of Be.EV's network to over 1,000 rapid and ultra-rapid charge points, targeting communities without fast charging options.
- Most of the new chargers will be ultra-rapid, capable of charging an EV to 80% in 20 minutes.
- The expansion will benefit Manchester and the North West, where Be.EV has already installed over 600 charge points.
- All chargers will be powered by renewable energy from Octopus Energy, supporting Be.EV's commitment to a green transport system.
