CO3 buys Oslo's Kinver to link freight data with real-time transport tracking

What's the deal? Berlin-based CO3 Technologies has acquired 100% of Oslo logistics-tech startup Kinver ASDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, the companies said on November 4, 2026. Kinver, founded in 2020, builds software that turns freight data into insight on costs, service levels, and emissions. Terms were not disclosed.

What's the endgame? CO3 develops data platforms for the transport and construction sectors. The deal pairs CO3's live vehicle data with Kinver's freight-invoice and contract auditing, potentially letting shippers verify charges against actual delivery and service records.

The two data streams. Road freight runs on two streams: a financial one covering subcontractor allocation, service levels, and pricing; and an operational one covering real-time tracking, delivery confirmations, and deviations. Kinver built tools for the first; CO3 brings the second.

The hire. Kinver founder and chief executive officer Lars Fredrik Eriksen joins CO3 as VP Commercial, while the 10-person Kinver team stays in Norway. "CO3 has already hired a number of people to help develop our technology further," Eriksen told Shifter (translated from Norwegian).

Why now? It is CO3's first acquisition since its 2025 spin-out from sennder. Kinver's revenue fell to US$1.62M last year from US$2.01M, with a US$1.08M loss. Eriksen attributed the drop to a strategic shift toward subscription sales and product development over billable hours.

The signal: This is a capability-building deal, not a scale play. It fits a broader 2026 pattern of logistics-software consolidation, with buyers adding adjacent capabilities—such as ApteanDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →'s acquisition of FleetGODealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →—rather than relying on visibility tools alone. The payoff depends on whether CO3 can integrate the products and turn the combined data into automated cost controls.
