What does Telarus do? It runs a distribution platform that helps technology advisors source, buy, and deploy products — spanning cloud, connectivity, cybersecurity, and contact-center solutions — for their enterprise customers. The company is nearing 25 years in business.
Who's investing? Snowhawk, founded in 2022, is a private investment firm with roughly $2.5B in assets under management, focused on cloud, connectivity, and technology-services businesses. Columbia first invested in Telarus in 2020, so the new deal reshapes the investor lineup rather than marking a first outside raise. Chief executive officer Adam Edwards and chief commercial officer Richard Murray keep substantial ownership stakes.
What's the money for? Telarus plans to put the capital behind its advisors — deeper engineering support, better tools, and a broader supplier portfolio. "Snowhawk's investment lets us put more behind them," Edwards said.
Why now? Technology-services distributors are racing to widen what their advisor networks can sell. In August, ScanSourceDealroom has a profile for this one. The signal: The distribution market hit $16.6B in 2024, led by cloud and cybersecurity growth. Fresh capital for a top distributor signals investors still see runway in the advisor channel — even if undisclosed terms make the bet hard to size.
