UADamage lands US backing to scale AI demining drones abroad

The money will fund development of its AI-powered explosive ordnance detection technology and prepare it for deployment outside Ukraine.
What's the endgame? UADamage builds unmanned systems for military and humanitarian demining. Its platform fuses data from RGB cameras, infrared sensors, magnetometers, and ground-penetrating radar with AI to detect hazards, map contaminated areas, and plan safe routes.
Founder and chief executive officer Vitaliy Lopushansky said it will use the funds to scale products, expand internationally, and build strategic partnerships. The company, which previously raised $400,000, says its system can survey up to 10,000m² daily.
Why now? Ukraine is building a formal, increasingly technology-driven demining market. The government has contracted clearance of roughly 30,900 hectares, and donors committed more than $80 million to Ukrainian mine-action projects after a 2025 international conference.
A new national GRIT platform now uses satellite, operator, and registry data to prioritise clearance. UADamage works with Ukraine's Ministry of Economy, the State Emergency Service, international donors, and universities.
Who's backing it? Ondas Capital is a $150 million investment and advisory platform set up by Ondas Inc. to move combat-proven Ukrainian unmanned technologies into US and European markets. Pravo Ventures is a US investment syndicate focused on early-stage Ukrainian defence startups.
Pravo Ventures said the technology addresses both wartime needs and post-war reconstruction. Ondas Capital pointed to its practical value in explosive ordnance detection.
The signal: The round matters less for its undisclosed size than for its channel — a direct pipeline carrying field-tested Ukrainian defence tech toward international buyers. As demining becomes a funded, technology-led market, UADamage is positioning to move from Ukrainian validation to export.
