Staff.am launches Armenia's first AI career assistant with a paid Premium tier

What's the deal? Staff.amDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Armenia's largest career platform, has launched SIMO, which it calls the country's first AI career assistant, alongside a Premium subscription. Users describe the work they want, and SIMO recommends relevant jobs, improves their profile and drafts cover letters.

Why now? The launch coincides with staff.am's 10th anniversary. The company says the platform has grown from a job-search site into an ecosystem spanning staff.am, Career Factory, Compass by staff.am and staffmedia.am.

What's the endgame? Basic SIMO features are free, while paid Plus and Pro plans unlock more. Those include job match assessments, estimated salary ranges, CV analysis, tailored applications, and career-path suggestions.

Premium also shows which employers viewed a user's profile, offers CV templates, and includes an individual consultation with an HR professional on annual plans. Subscriptions run weekly, monthly or annually, with a seven-day free trial.

Staff.am already uses AI for job searches, candidate application analysis and candidate searches through StaffSearch. More than 5,300 employers are registered on the platform, which it says draws over 15,000 daily visits.

What they're saying: "Subscription-based career services are an emerging category, both in our market and beyond," said co-founder and chief executive officer Luiza Avetisyan. "We will continue to test new approaches, listen to our users and expand SIMO's capabilities."

What could go wrong? The company notes that salary figures are estimates, not offers employers guarantee. Whether users will pay for personalized guidance — and trust AI-generated salary and application advice — remains untested in a market where paid career services are still new.

The signal: Armenian recruitment platforms are racing to add AI, with rivals like Job.am rolling out employer tools and support bots. Staff.am's move stands out less as a first for AI in hiring than as an early bet on charging job seekers for personalized career guidance.
