The deal was announced on November 4, 2026, with closing expected in December. The price was not disclosed, though DocMorris described it as in the low double-digit millions of Swiss francs, funded with its own resources plus debt and equity.
What does Medi24 bring? The Liebefeld-based company is tied to numerous Swiss health insurers through partnerships. It offers more than 4,600,000 insured people contractually guaranteed first access to telemedicine — roughly half of Switzerland's population, according to DocMorris.
Why now? The deal fits DocMorris' recent push into digital health, a segment it says grew 71.4% in the first half of 2026. Medi24's expected annual revenue roughly matches TeleClinic's, so the combination would nearly double the unit's turnover. DocMorris also expects a substantial contribution to TeleClinic's EBITDA in the first year, driven by integrating TeleClinic's technology into Medi24's infrastructure.
The expansion angle: DocMorris calls the acquisition the first step in deploying TeleClinic's technology platform across more European countries. TeleClinic and Medi24 will keep operating independently in their home markets because of differing national rules.
What's the context? DocMorris was previously active in Switzerland under its former name, Zur Rose. In early 2023, the Thurgau-based group sold its Swiss pharmacy business to MigrosDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → for about 360 million francs, cutting debt and refocusing on prescription drugs in Germany. This time the focus is telemedicine, not mail-order medication.
The signal: Rather than rebuilding its old pharmacy business, DocMorris is buying an established network of insurer relationships to re-enter Switzerland. The price looks modest against the reach it claims. The open question is whether the promised technology and cost synergies materialise while both providers stay operationally separate.
