QuestionPro buys Contlo to build its agentic commerce stack
What's the deal? QuestionProDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an Austin-based survey and experience-management provider, has acquired Contlo, an AI-native marketing and customer engagement platform for e-commerce brands. Terms were not disclosed. The deal, announced November 4, lays the groundwork for QuestionPro's push into agentic commerce.
What each side brings: Contlo unifies customer data, segmentation, and automation across email, SMS, WhatsApp, and web push. It has sent more than 5.8 billion messages, manages over 190 million customer profiles, and generated 3.9 million orders across 200-plus integrations. QuestionPro brings the feedback and research layer.
What's the endgame? The aim is to connect what customers say with how brands respond, feeding AI agents the data to pick the next best action for each shopper. QuestionPro will also deploy SuperAGI's agentic AI platform across its product suite.
The hire: Contlo co-founders Ishaan Bhola and Mukunda NS join QuestionPro as AI advisors, guiding its AI roadmap and agentic commerce work. Bhaskaran already sat on Contlo's advisory board before the deal.
Why now? QuestionPro says large language models and agents have changed the economics of closing the loop between listening and action. "For AI agents to take meaningful action, they need to understand the customer," said Vivek Bhaskaran, founder and chief executive officer of QuestionPro.
What could go wrong? QuestionPro has not disclosed deal terms or shown results from integrating the two products. The strategy depends on execution, not the announcement.
The signal: The acquisition fits a broader rush to assemble agentic-commerce stacks through dealmaking, alongside moves such as Swap Commerce buying AI-discovery platform VizbyDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and Coveo acquiring product-data specialist AngleraDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. It marks a notable expansion for QuestionPro into commerce engagement, though its significance will hinge on adoption rather than the deal itself.
