Taiwan's iXensor raises $1.53M to chase monthly break-even

What's the deal? Taiwan's iXensor has completed a second equity raise this year, issuing 10,000 new shares at US$0.14 each to raise US$1.45M. Center Laboratories led the subscriber portion, which also drew investors from the biotech and information technology sectors.

Why now? Chairman Chen Yen-yu said the proceeds will shore up working capital and accelerate the company's transformation, with a near-term goal of reaching single-month break-even. The US$0.14 issue price was a discount that reflects the gap between iXensor's share price and its net asset value.

What's the endgame? iXensor is pivoting from a traditional medical device maker to a home health platform that combines precision testing, AI-powered tracking of physiological data, and personalised nutritional supplements. It plans a subscription model to shift revenue from one-off sales toward recurring income.

The numbers: Consolidated revenue for the first three quarters reached US$616.6K, up 12.07% year over year and a three-year high for the period. But 2025 revenue of US$778.7K was dwarfed by a net loss of roughly US$1.36M, underscoring the distance to profitability.

What could go wrong? The raise is best read as a bridge to a turnaround, not proof of one. With losses at that scale, the single-month break-even target is a real test of whether fresh capital and new operating changes can produce lasting improvement.

Two flagship products recently advanced: the Antec blood lipid testing system won Japan's 2026 Good Design Award, while the Ebez ovulation test system secured EU IVDR certification, clearing the way to expand overseas.

The signal: Center Laboratories' lead role gives the raise a strategic-industry backer as Taiwan's digital-health sector attracts stronger investment. Whether that momentum validates iXensor depends on turning its smartphone-based diagnostics into recurring sales rather than near-term cash relief.
