CyberKord raises €2.7M to let AI fix IT and security incidents

What's the deal? Milan-based CyberKord has raised €2.7 million in pre-seed funding for its AI platform that automates IT and cybersecurity operations. What's the endgame? Founded in 2026 by Alessandro Maggio, Dragos Tanasa, and Cosimo Michelagnoli, CyberKord builds a digital twin of a company's IT infrastructure. Its AI starts from an alert or a message on tools like Teams or Slack, identifies the root cause, simulates a fix, and applies it using systems already in use.

The pitch is autonomy with oversight: companies decide how much the AI can do on its own, and every action is logged and verifiable. "Other tools tell the team what to fix; CyberKord fixes it," the company says (translated from Italian).

Why now? The gap between detection and resolution is widening. CyberKord cites Italy's Clusit report, which counted 507 serious attacks in 2025, up 42% on the previous year, while fixes still pass through human hands and take days.

What's the money for? CyberKord plans to develop the platform, expand its technical and commercial teams, and launch pilots with large European firms across manufacturing, technology, healthcare, and telecommunications.

The signal: The raise lands in a strong but uneven European cybersecurity market, where sector investment hit €1.3 billion in the first half of 2026 but only €22 million went to pre-seed rounds. CyberKord's bet on AI-enabled security echoes adjacent deals like Hackuity's €16 million and Netsec's €8.9 million. Its significance now hinges on whether those enterprise pilots prove the approach works in complex environments.
