NBX draws another $732K from LDA Capital as crypto raises mount
What's the deal? Norwegian Block Exchange (NBX) has raised US$822K (around $732,000) in a post-IPO equity drawdown from Los Angeles-based LDA CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, closed on November 3, 2026. The Oslo-listed crypto exchange has now pulled at least US$4.11M from the investor across ten rounds since 2022.
How it works: The two signed a put option agreement in September 2022, giving NBX the right to raise up to US$12.1M in equity over several years. It resembles a committed equity facility — a share-based credit line that NBX, not LDA, decides when to draw down, with a minimum price set for each round.
What the money is for: NBX has used the proceeds to buy bitcoin and to meet statutory capital requirements. Recent rounds have been tied to its e-money licence and MiCA authorisation, the EU framework under which NBX was cleared this summer to offer regulated crypto-asset services across the EEA.
Why now? Since extending the LDA agreement by three years in June 2025, NBX has drawn capital roughly every other month. The latest round priced shares at US$0.06 — the lowest in the sequence, which has ranged from US$0.05 to US$0.09.
What could go wrong? The repeated drawdowns underscore NBX's reliance on share issuance and the dilution that brings. The pressure is real: first-half operating income fell 45% and losses more than doubled.
The signal: MiCA has opened the door to regulated crypto services across Europe, but regulation carries a capital bill. NBX's steady drip of equity shows how smaller exchanges are financing that compliance — one tranche at a time.
