What each side brings: Founded in 1996, Xobee serves more than 1,700 customers across 34 states with cloud, cybersecurity, and hosted voice services, and employs roughly 100 people. Brite, founded in 1983 and based in upstate New York, works across IT services, cybersecurity, and public safety technology.
Why now? O2 backed Xobee in January 2022 and grew it through six add-on acquisitions, expanding its services, customer base, and reach. For Sole Source Capital, the deal is a follow-on to its January 2026 acquisition of Brite — the firm's first platform in its third fund and its first cybersecurity platform.
The rationale: "Xobee's capabilities and SMB customer base across 34 states complement Brite's strength in regulated end markets," said Scott Sussman, chief investment officer at Sole Source Capital. Eric Rawn, chief executive officer of Xobee, pointed to Brite's "operational expertise, M&A support, and extensive network" as drivers of continued growth.
The signal: The sale lands in a busy managed-services market. OmdiaDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → reported 64 global managed-services acquisitions in Q1 2026, up 73% year over year, with outside investors involved in 80% of MSP and MSSP deals — consolidation that this acquisition-built provider now feeds into a buyer-backed platform.
