Anthropic opens IPO to European retail investors via Revolut, Trade Republic and eToro

What's the deal? Anthropic plans to open its initial public offering to retail investors across Europe, naming Revolut, Trade Republic, eToro, and a slate of other intermediaries as authorised brokers. The AI company intends to list its Class A common stock on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol "ANT."

Who else is in? The EEA and Switzerland broker list also includes BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole CIBDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Deutsche Bank, flatexDEGIRO, Interactive Brokers, NordnetDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Saxo Bank, and UBS. In the UK, RetailBook is coordinating the retail offer, with AJ BellDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Hargreaves Lansdown, and Interactive Investor among the named agents.

Where it applies: The retail offering is expected to cover Australia, Canada, Japan, Switzerland, the UK, and nine EEA states — Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, and Sweden. Anthropic does not currently intend to list on any exchange outside the US.

Why it matters: Eligible European clients could subscribe at the offering price, rather than waiting to buy shares once trading begins. Anthropic has warned that no firm outside its published list is authorised to offer or advertise access to the shares.

Why now? The move extends the retail-investor push seen in SpaceX's listing in June, which helped normalise direct IPO access through European investing apps.

The signal: Anthropic's debut will test public-market appetite for AI firms balancing fast growth against heavy computing costs — and it sets a valuation benchmark for rival OpenAI, which is preparing its own listing.
