What does Enginsight do? Founded in Jena in 2017, the company develops its software entirely in Germany. The platform combines vulnerability management, asset monitoring, attack detection, compliance analysis, and automated defence in a single tool.
By the numbers: Enginsight sells through more than 250 active partners, serves over 750 customers, and employs more than 80 people. It has a strong base in the public sector, with demand growing fastest among municipalities, hospitals, and universities.
What's the endgame? Verdane wants to expand Enginsight's partner channel and push international growth beyond the DACH region. The plan includes a European buy-and-build strategy and wider sales of its SIEM and managed detection and response services, with a focus on managed service providers.
Why now? The deal builds on a €6 million round in September 2024 led by UVC, and a January 2025 distribution partnership with ALSO aimed at European growth. Verdane's entry adds strategic backing for internationalisation, betting on rising demand for European security tools.
The signal: Enginsight is pitching cybersecurity "Made in Germany" at a time when European buyers increasingly prize digital sovereignty. The round signals continued investor appetite for building regional security platforms through consolidation.
