Try Dealroom →, a Belgian maker of mobile crushing, screening and recycling equipment. Financial terms were not disclosed. Who's who? Founded in Belgium in 1988 by Kees Hoogendoorn and Annet Schoenmaker, family-owned Keestrack serves the aggregates, recycling, construction, and demolition industries across more than 65 countries through over 70 distributors. It has production facilities in the Czech Republic, Italy, China, India, and Turkey, plus a US distribution arm.
What's the endgame? The acquisition expands Terex Materials Processing's crushing and screening lineup and adds manufacturing and distribution capacity. Keestrack will continue as an independent brand alongside PowerscreenDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and others in the division.
What changes? Not much at first. Peter and Frederik Hoogendoorn will stay in leadership roles, while co-founders Kees and Annet Hoogendoorn support a transition period.
"Keestrack is a complementary addition to our aggregates portfolio, with established products, manufacturing capabilities and distribution," said Pat Brian, vice president of Terex Aggregates.
Why now? Terex reported strong recent demand for mobile crushers in the US, with Materials Processing bookings and backlog rising sharply in the third quarter. Rival MetsoDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has also expanded its mobile-crusher range and committed about €60 million to a new crusher factory.
The signal: Equipment makers are consolidating around the aggregates business as demand climbs. With Keestrack kept independent, the gain for Terex is portfolio breadth, manufacturing footprint, and distribution reach rather than immediate brand consolidation.
