What does it do? Founded in 2018 by Santanu Basu, the company runs online tournaments, large-scale offline events, and live broadcasts across South Asia and Southeast Asia. It says it has organised over 2,000 events, served more than 30 clients across 18 countries, and built a community of more than 1.4 million members.
What's the endgame? The fresh capital will fund the development of the Indian Super Gaming League (ISGL), a platform meant to connect players, fans, teams, brands, and entertainment. Let's Game Now also cites a grassroots network across more than 400 colleges in over 80 cities, reaching upwards of 700,000 students.
Why now? India's gaming market is valued at roughly $3.8 billion and projected to reach $9.2 billion by FY29, according to market research cited by the company. A 2025 ban on online money gaming has pushed firms toward tournaments, sponsorships, and league franchises as alternative revenue.
What could go wrong? Established Indian leagues still struggle to build regular audiences and reliable broadcast and sponsorship income. Let's Game Now has not disclosed a detailed budget for the ISGL or demonstrated the league's commercial traction.
The signal: The round is a notable vote of confidence in a franchise-led model for Indian esports. Whether that model can convert reach into durable revenue remains the sector's open question.
