Spain's Talky raises €1.5M pre-seed to automate accounting

What's the deal? Madrid-based startup TalkyDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised a €1.5 million pre-seed round to build AI that automates corporate accounting and operational finance. Venture funds HelloWorldDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Silence VCDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and Motive Force took part, alongside angels including Remitly chief executive officer Sebastián Gunningham, LightbaseDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → chief executive officer Paul Golbaum, and Onum's first investor Javier Morenés.

What's the endgame? Talky's platform learns from each company's financial history and its teams' knowledge to centralise that expertise, define workflows, and automate finance operations — including resolving exceptions with full traceability. The startup says it already books between 86% and 93% of the documents it processes without human intervention.

How it works: The system reads invoices, proposes accounts, reviews taxes, and reconciles bank movements, then logs the result in the client's ERP while keeping a record of each decision. "Every company has its own way of doing accounting, and it's almost never written down. Talky learns that criteria, applies it to the hard cases, and turns it into information to decide better," said co-founder and chief executive officer Jorge Beamonte (translated from Spanish).

By the numbers: Founded in 2025 by Beamonte and chief operating officer Maximilian León, Talky has processed more than 1.8 million documents and over €2 billion in client spending.

What's the money for? The funds will strengthen the product and technical infrastructure, deepen work with existing clients, and support international expansion.

The signal: Talky's round fits a European push to automate finance back offices with AI, following Spain's Centinel (€1.2 million), Germany's mika (€6 million), and Belgium's RavicalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → (€17 million). The company's early automation rate is a promising claim — but in a crowded market, customer adoption and reliable handling of complex exceptions will matter more than the headline figure.
