The company says more than 850,000 users have joined its ecosystem.

What's the endgame? Founded in 2024, GAEA is building a decentralised ecosystem that links humans, AI agents, data, and computing resources. The round will fund its "Emotional Layer," which aims to give AI agents emotional perception, and expand its global community.

Why now? The raise rides a wave of continued investment in crypto-linked AI infrastructure. Galaxy's first-quarter 2026 review found AI remained among the sectors drawing deals, alongside other smaller Web3 agent-infrastructure raises.

What could go wrong? The round is modest against larger AI infrastructure raises, and crypto funding is uneven — The TieDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → reported September's total fell 49% from August. The 850,000-user figure also says nothing about how active those users are.

The signal: This is a small strategic bet on an emerging niche, not proof of broad traction. Whether GAEA can turn a large user base into sustained network activity — and attract bigger institutional cheques — remains the open question.
