Belgium's Ravical raises $17M to take AI accounting agents across Europe

What's the deal? Ghent-based RavicalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised $17 million in growth equity funding to expand across Europe. The startup, founded in 2025, builds AI agents that automate work for accounting and tax firms.

What's the endgame? Ravical targets expert firms — in accounting, tax, insurance, and legal services — with AI agents designed to handle repetitive work at scale. The new capital is meant to speed its push into European markets.

Why now? The round is a sharp step up from the €7.3 million pre-seed Ravical raised in May 2025. Driving the company is Joris Van Der Gucht, a co-founder of accounting software firm Silverfin.

The expansion: The funding is tied directly to Ravical's plan to win customers beyond its home market. For an AI product aimed at regulated professional services, European growth puts a premium on execution, local compliance, and proven quality of output.

By the numbers: At $17 million, the round lands in the top half of comparable AI funding deals — above the typical startup raise, but still modest against larger European peers in the sector.

The signal: Europe's market for AI in accounting and tax work is heating up fast. Berlin's Integral raised €18 million in September for AI-assisted bookkeeping and tax services, while France's Dougs secured €50 million in October to deploy AI agents across its practice. Ravical's raise adds to a widening race to automate repetitive work for professional service providers.
