Yulong Aerospace lands Series A, its third round in six months

What's the deal? Chinese commercial rocket maker Yulong AerospaceDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has closed a Series A round led by Oriza Puhua, with Kaiyang Fund and Hangzhou Juxin Venture Capital among the participants. The company did not disclose the amount.

Why now? The round is Yulong's third in six months. It raised a tens-of-millions-yuan angel round in February 2026, followed by an angel-plus round in May that topped double the angel raise.

What's the endgame? Founded in 2012, Yulong is one of China's earliest private commercial rocket firms. It focuses on low-cost liquid rocket engines and launch vehicles, and will spend the new funds on research, test verification, and industrialisation.

What could go wrong? Yulong has completed a liquid rocket flight test, but repeated funding does not prove stable orbital launch or commercial delivery capability. The rounds read more as early capital backing a technology-validation stage than a settled industry position.

The signal: Chinese commercial space funding is heating up sharply. The sector disclosed US$1.76B across 79 deals in the first half of 2026, up 273% year on year, per Zhongtou Jiachuan data cited by China Securities Journal. Capital is also concentrating in a few large deals — iSpace raised US$692.6M in February — leaving Yulong's steady rounds as a bet on momentum rather than scale.
