Quhuo affiliate lands $1.5M bank credit line as cash runs thin

What's the deal? Quhuo Limited's affiliate, Beijing Quhuo Technology Co., has secured a working-capital credit facility of up to US$1.38M from Xiamen Bank's Beijing branch. The agreement, dated October 28, 2026, is guaranteed by Quhuo's wholly owned subsidiary, Beijing Quhuo Information Technology Co., which covers principal, interest, and other obligations.

Who is Quhuo? The Nasdaq-listed company runs a gig economy platform for local life services in China, spanning on-demand delivery, housekeeping and accommodation, and used-vehicle exports.

Why now? Quhuo is operating under tight liquidity. At the end of 2025, it reported US$5.5M in cash and restricted cash against US$15.6M in short-term debt.

The facility adds to Quhuo's reliance on bank borrowing. It already held a separate Xiamen International BankDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → facility capped at US$2.75M.

What could go wrong? The loan is small relative to Quhuo's debt load, and the subsidiary guarantee adds contingent exposure for the group. Full-year 2025 revenue fell 17.1%, and the company posted a US$20.7M net loss.

What's the endgame? Chairman and chief executive officer Leslie Yu said the company spent 2025 "optimizing its business structure and upgrading its capabilities." A business reorganization and management restructuring launched in October 2025 aims to cut expense ratios, with efficiency gains expected from the second quarter of 2026.

The signal: This is a modest facility to fund day-to-day operations, not a strategic equity raise. It underscores how a cash-constrained, loss-making platform is leaning on short-term bank credit to bridge a turnaround.
