Sava raises $10M to automate the paperwork behind trusts
What's the deal? Sava, an AI-enabled trust administration company, has raised $10 million in seed funding, chief executive officer Nimit Maru told Axios Pro. Gradient VenturesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Pioneer FundDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, SV Angel, and Y Combinator backed the New York-based startup.
What's the endgame? Trust administration still relies on manual coordination among attorneys, advisors, and trust officers. Sava, which calls itself "The Agentic Trust Company," wants software to handle that paperwork.
Why now? Roughly $6.5 trillion sits in US trusts, and the operational burden of managing them is drawing new entrants. In October, estate-planning provider Trust & Will launched its own Nevada-chartered trust company, while AI-native Axiom Trust disclosed $11.8 million in March to automate document parsing, monitoring, and reporting.
Who's behind it? Maru previously co-founded Fullstack AcademyDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and Bloomspot, both acquired. Co-founder Rush Sadiwala built the creator platform Framework.so before joining.
The signal: At $10 million, Sava's round lands in the top 5% of US fintech seed deals on record — a sign of investor appetite for bringing technology to a regulated, traditionally manual business. The money is notable less for its size than for the race to automate trustee services; execution and fiduciary safeguards will matter as much as the software.
