Métagram buys Belgium's Progentis, its first deal beyond France

Why now? The acquisition delivers on a European expansion plan Métagram announced in September 2026. It marks the group's 20th external-growth deal in three years.
What's the endgame? Métagram's model is to federate advisory firms under a shared growth project while letting them keep their identity, autonomy, and client relationships. In France it has built regional hubs across Aquitaine, Champagne-Ardenne, Île-de-France, Hauts-de-France, and the Southwest, and now wants to extend that playbook across Europe.
Progentis, based in Brussels and Luxembourg, employs about 10 people and serves more than 100 families with wealth of between €1 million and €20 million. Half its client families have stayed with the firm for over a decade. Founder Geoffroy Steyt will lead the entire Benelux region and is reinvesting significantly in the project.
What's next? Métagram says it is studying opportunities in France and abroad representing more than €2 billion in assets. A first additional target in the Benelux is already under review.
The signal: France's independent wealth-advice market is consolidating, with larger groups racing to assemble regional networks and client portfolios. Launched in 2023 with Meanings' backing, Métagram had reached roughly €2.2 billion in advised assets by September. The Progentis deal is strategic rather than transformational on scale — a foothold that tests whether the buy-and-build model travels across borders while keeping local teams intact.
